On Monday 8th October, KEHS hosted its annual One Day Film School. 85 pupils from 8 different schools across Birmingham attended the hands-on day and had the chance to be coached by The Young Film Academy. The day started with an introduction to fight choreography where the pupils learned the secret to making fight scenes look totally realistic as well as having the chance to test out the technique themselves. After all the excitement they then created a short script and started to film their own 10-shot silent movie. All of the movies were screened at the end of the day, with the winning group being presented with the Oscar for best picture for their movie entitled "Kidnappers of King David". A special thank you to Sarah in the Sixth Form for helping out with the day.
