Sadly, the lockdown meant numerous KEHS classical music concerts and events had to be cancelled. However, nothing is impossible for the School's Music department and pupils who have worked incredibly hard these last few weeks and treated us to a fantastic virtual Lower School and Upper School Summer concert.
This society run in conjunction with our neighbour school KES has been reflecting upon some of the most significant issues we face today. Food sustainability is one major issue that has been debated upon by the recently formed group and Meganne has written an insightful piece on this.
Our Lower Fifth girls are delighted to be back in school this week for some 'face to face support'. Along with taught lessons in English and Maths, they also participated in some physical activity which included rounders, led by the Sports Department.
Current Upper Fifth student Priya has been working hard editing the latest edition of KEHS Release, the student led digital newspaper.
Two of our students Alice and Noemi have won one of the Royal Geographical Society Excellence Awards for the 2019 examinations for their marks in the Pearson International GCSE Geography exam.
We are delighted to welcome back our Lower Sixth students this week. Safe distancing is being observed and lessons are in full swing; we even managed to get them outside for some Biology Practical work before the stormy weather hit us!
This morning KEHS held an assembly on Sikh Langar. Langar is an important part of Sikh worship and is where there is a common kitchen that serves food to anyone from any background or faith.
This club, aimed for Lower School had it's first meeting today. The pupils participated in Kahoot! quizzes on logos and famous entrepreneurs, as well as exploring what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
The Sports Department are really missing the girls, their humour and energy. The girls are also missing their PE teachers!

On 30th April, our Young Enterprise company, Verglace, entered the digital presentation round of the Young Enterprise Greater Birmingham finals to present an overview of their progress since starting up the company.
In line with the community spirit of both the KEHS and KES school's student body, Charlie, Ella and Hanna from Lower Sixth have been undertaking a cycling fundraising challenge to raise money for NHS charities.
With the monotony of daily lockdown routines, whereby every day feels the same, an online talk by Andy Street - the Mayor of West Midlands - was certainly the highlight of the week for the more than 80 pupils who attended from both KEHS and KES
