Well done to the six girls who qualified for the Intermediate Mathematical Olympiad and Kangaroo this year. Simren, Naomi, Ami, Jiali, Kirsten and Jessica all performed extremely well, with Ami and Jiali both receiving merits and Naomi receiving a distinction.

Everyone was given a Djembe drum so that they could participate in an unforgettable event, which provided an insight into the sounds, beats and energy of an African village and tribal life.
On Thursday 27th April in the Ruddock Hall, Naomi performed in our penultimate lunchtime recital of the year. Naomi concluded the concert with an elegant performance of Haydn's Allegro from his Sonata in C major, followed by Brahms' poignant Rhapsody in G minor, op. 79, no. 2.

Earlier this term, 25 girls from the Sixth Form sat the Advanced Examination of the UK Linguistics Olympiad.
On Tuesday 28th March a large number of our girls performed in a packed out Ruddock Hall as part of the Spring Concert.
On Wednesday afternoon we hosted the ‘Studying Modern Languages at Oxford Conference’ in the Ruddock Hall. Over 80 students from 10 schools across Birmingham attended the conference which was delivered by Oxford University tutors in French, Spanish and German.
Earlier this term, 25 girls from the Sixth Form sat the Advanced Examination of the UK Linguistics Olympiad. This is a challenging test in which girls have to solve linguistic data problems from a wide range of languages with which they are not expected to be familiar.
