Theatre Studies Trip to London

On Friday 5th May, Sixth Form Theatre Studies students embarked on a trip to London. The trip included a visit to the V&A museum where students saw the Theatre exhibition and met Old Edwardian Immy Brown, who spoke to them about the past year she's spent at Drama school. They also met Old Edwardian Sam Newton, who is now starring as the lead in A Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. Sam offered students an exclusive backstage tour which enabled them to practise using props and puppets! That evening, the group saw the truly terrifying ghost story Woman in Black, which had everyone jumping out of their seats. The following day, students visited the historical Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and Tate Modern Gallery before seeing feminist play Top Girls. It was certainly an exhausting but fun weekend that inspired and informed students in equal measure.
