Latin Trip to Chedworth and Cirencester

On Thursday 20th June, Lower Fourth Latin students visited Chedworth Roman Villa and the Corinium Museum in Cirencester. They were able to explore the site of the Roman Villa independently while some students opted to join a guided tour. There were many interesting artefacts to see, including two sets of baths and stunning mosaics. The students also had the chance to make their own small medicine bags using lavender, coriander, mustard seeds and cumin, which really helped them to gain an insight into the lives of people in Roman Britain. Students also enjoyed learning from the informative exhibitions at the museum. Overall, the trip was both enjoyable and beneficial for the students’ Latin studies.
