Salus Week

This week, KEHS celebrated its first ever ‘Salus Week,’ an event designed to focus on students’ mental, emotional and physical health. Named ‘Salus’ from the Latin word for health, welfare and safety, students as well as staff took part in a range of activities focused on the importance of personal wellbeing in an increasingly frantic and stressful world. Workshops included ‘Stilling the Critical Voice’,’ to help girls deal with negative thoughts, ‘Dealing with Perfectionism’ and ‘Coping with GCSE Pressures,’ run by Sixth Formers for our Lower and Upper Fifth students. Girls also took part in activities such as yoga, art therapy, energy building workshops, mandala colouring and smoothie-making. The week has attracted many enthusiastic reactions from both students and staff and has encouraged girls to nourish their body and mind. We very much look forward to this becoming an annual event on the KEHS calendar.
