Angela Clayton-Turner Visit

On Tuesday, Angela Clayton-Turner, an Old Edwardian and chair of the London OE Club, came to talk to the Lower Sixth about Dementia. As an experienced dementia carer and "Dementia Friend", Angela's insight into this often sensitive topic was well-informed, detailed and eye-opening. The Lower Sixth, many of whom know somebody who suffers from dementia, left with an increased appreciation of the daily challenges faced by sufferers and carers, and a much better idea of how to deal with the many different facets of dementia, should this ever become applicable to them. Angela was delighted to leave KEHS having signed up 59 new “Dementia Friends,” and challenged the girls to act on their new knowledge and insight by fundraising, forming support groups, or simply wearing their new badges!
