Welcome to KEHS Connect

“Connect” is a biannual newsletter that complements the Old Girls’ activities and gives past students and friends of school news of KEHS today.

We see KEHS as a school that is not just relevant to its present girls and their parents. We know that once girls have left the school, they remain interested and often very involved in the school, as also their parents do. Current girls derive both knowledge and inspiration from the achievements of and contact with former
pupils. We are always looking for volunteers who would be prepared to share their experiences and expertise at various school events such as Awards Evening, Careers Meetings or in a smaller subject setting, or by offering work experience. “Connect” helps us to keep in touch with our extended family.

Each issue carries at least one profile of an old girl. If you would feel able to be profiled just let me know. I would be delighted to hear from you individually, and if you are going to be in the area and feel like seeing school again do let me know. Although I have retired from school now I would be pleased to come in to school and to see you again, and to take you around. Just contact me through “Connect” or through school. The “Connect” e-mail address is mailto:kehsconnect@kingedhs.bham.sch.uk I regularly read all the e-mails so I will respond.

We have a list of people who have kindly agreed to act as year or form coordinators. Click here to view the list. We would like to fill all years so if you are prepared to have your e-mail address put in “Connect” and on the web site, and to act in this role for your group, just let me know by e-mail at the “Connect” e-mail address or by post to school.

I hope that you enjoy “Connect” and the renewed contact with school. Past copies of “Connect” are on the web site. I look forward to hearing from you.
