The 6th form has a long-standing tradition of combining excellence in specialist academic studies with broad cultural awareness and the development of confidence in personal skills.

The majority of girls who join us at 11 continue their studies into the 6th form. Each year they are joined by a group who enter for a full A level programme at age 16.

At this level girls are encouraged to become increasingly responsible for their own study programme so that within a well-structured framework they are prepared for a smooth transition to higher education. There are excellent facilities for private study and extra-curricular activities, reflecting the aim of the school to foster both intellectual and social development in each student.

Each year we run a team building induction course for all 6^th Form entrants. All girls participate including those students who are new to the 6^th Form. The day allows students to work both collaboratively and creatively. In 2007 at the end of the induction day all students produced a short silent movie which they scripted, acted, edited and filmed.  Click on the “Play Movie” icon to watch the10-shot movies made by the students.
