KEHS Mock Election
On Thursday May 6th KEHS held a mock election, voting for the candidates in the Edgbaston constituency.
Staff and pupils had to register to vote beforehand. The 3rds had the highest rate of registration with 91% expressing a wish to vote. Only 39% of the L4th registered, however, this year group had the highest turnout at 91% of those that registered. The U6th had the lowest turn out at 44% but most of them are eligible to vote in the real thing.
The overall result from school:-
Conservatives 147
Labour 77
Liberal Democrat 126
Green 18
UKIP 6
Year groups differed in their voting with the L4ths, L6th and U6ths voting Liberal Democrat. The staff voted Labour.
The results will be given to the Hansard Society which collates the results from schools across the country.
