Congratulations to Jyoti Sehdev in the Lower 6^th who has won first prize in the French essay competition run by the Anglo-French society of Birmingham. Beth Allen in the Upper 6th also did extremely well by being awarded second place.

The competition is open to both the Lower 6th and the Upper 6th and this year they had to write the first chapter of their autobiography.

Both girls wrote a splendid chapter, thought provoking and in very accurate and sophisticated French.  Both girls are to be congratulated with a special mention for Jyoti who wrote her piece at the beginning of the Lower 6th year.  A splendid achievement!
