World Book Day Release
World Book Day this year is on Thursday March 4th 2010. To celebrate this we are having a week-long book fair in school where girls may buy themselves a book to read. They have all been given a £1 world book day token and this may be used to get a reduction of £1 off a book.
Also, each form has been issued with a book from the school library archives and each form must look after this book for the week: reading it, appreciating the differences in printing and binding; finding out information about the author and content of the book; taking it to assembly and lessons with them, home for the night etc.. Each book comes with a diary that the form should fill in. The form that produces the most exciting week for their book will win a prize.
