Chemistry Week 2009: Award Winners

National Chemistry Week was held across the country in November.  All girls, within the school, who take Chemistry entered their year group’s competition which were on the theme of ‘Chemistry and Food’.

The Thirds designed badges and the overall winner was Madeleine Browse.  Runners up were Anny Park, Katy Robertson and Alyssa Van den Broeck.

The Lower Fourths and Upper Fourths produced posters, including the molecular formula of a chemical in an item of food.  The overall winner was Serena Doshi and the runners up were Diana Dubash, Priya Sandhu, Alice Masterson, Cate Moore, Chloe Rose and Holly Pritchard.

The Lower Fifths and Upper Fifths prepared a three dimensional model with an accompanying poster.  The winners were Emily Todd, Safina Mitha, Duaa Khair, Helen Gendy and Imani Adeyemo.

The Sixth form wrote an article and the winners are Marina Soltan, Aarti Sehdev and Shantal Deepak.

Well done to all the girls concerned.
