National Netball Championship January 2009

We felt very proud to be one of only 4 schools with teams represented in every age group at the Regional Finals of the National Netball Championships on Saturday 17^th January.

The standard of this tournament was excellent, with hundreds of young people all competing towards the same goal.

There were 14 teams in each age group and our results were as follows:

U16s -7^th

U18s - 4^th

U14s - 2^nd

This result meant that the U14 team went through to the semi-finals where despite an admirable fight they lost against Bromsgrove. Everyone played tremendously well throughout a long cold day and should feel extremely proud to have reached this standard.

Very special thanks go to all our parents, for giving the girls and staff support and encouragement which was much appreciated.

We look forward to repeating this achievement in next year’s competition.
