PE (Physical Education)

KEHS is famous for its PE facilities and successes from county to national level in a range of sports, thanks to outstanding staff including several internationals. In Key Stage 3, girls spend six weeks focusing on a particular activity, to develop their basic skills and understanding. Major sports include hockey, netball, dance, gymnastics, swimming, fitness, rounders, tennis and athletics plus taster sessions in touch rugby, badminton and football. In Key Stage 4, pupils develop their skills, graduating to activities such as lifesaving, basketball and indoor rowing. Yoga, Zumba and kickboxing are offered in the Sixth Form Physical Education lessons. Girls in the Lower Fifth (Year 10) can also take the Junior Sports Leaders Award to develop their organisational, leadership and communication skills.
