World Book Day 2018

On Thursday, KEHS took part in World Book Day 2018! It was fantastic to see so many dressed up and taking part, and also others who weren’t able to dress up at least sporting their favourite book around their neck!

All money raised will go to Book Aid International. With this money Book Aid can provide stock to mobile libraries, refugee camps, and health books for women as well as help finance a starter library for a school! Photos of the day will soon be on display opposite the Library entrance. Characters from all areas of literature made an appearance, from Harry Potter, to Sherlock Holmes, Shakespeare, Stephen King and even 101 Dalmatians! Girls can still take part in the Favourite Book competition situated outside the library – identify the correct book to the correct member of staff and win a prize! The winners of the Best Dressed Form will be announced later this week! Once again, thank you to everyone for making World Book Day such a successful and fun event, and for celebrating books and reading!

Following the snow this weekend, the site has been cleared and will be gritted in the morning, but please wear sensible footwear and take care when walking around the site.
