Public Speaking Success

Last weekend, two teams from KEHS competed at the English Speaking Union Public Speaking Competition which took place at Solihull School. The speakers were Nikita, making an excellent convincing argument on the value of Trident, supported by Shahnoor as Questioner, and Ria as Chair. Sofia made an engaging speech on whether we get too much too easily. Sofia managed to convince the audience that people today work hard for what they receive. Sofia was ably assisted by Lucy as Questioner, and Shivanii as Chair. Sofia, Lucy and Shivanii were judged to be the best team in Round 1, with Shivanii being judged the best performer in the Questioner role. Nikita, Ria and Shahnoor were runners-up in Round 1. Once the final commenced, Sofia, Lucy and Shivanii performed well with Lucy being awarded the prize for best Questioner. This was an excellent performance from a novice public speaking team. Well done to both teams!
