Autumn Challenge Workshop

On Tuesday 14th November, KEHS welcomed 70 children from a number of primary schools across Birmingham to our annual Autumn Challenge Workshop. Throughout the morning, gifted and talented pupils from years 5 and 6 took part in Maths, Science and Spanish lessons delivered by our staff and ably supported by members of the Sixth Form. The workshops saw children try their hand at code-breaking in Maths, learning new words and phrases in Spanish and investigating crime scenes in Science where they were even able to record their own fingerprint! Our Challenge event was a great opportunity for the children to broaden their knowledge beyond the primary curriculum. Many thanks to all of the teachers involved and, in particular, to our Sixth Formers: Ryder, Hollie, Nimhara, Jessica, Maria, Saffron, Kimberly and Zahra. Following the snow this weekend, the site has been cleared and will be gritted in the morning, but please wear sensible footwear and take care when walking around the site.
